Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 42-year-old Danyelle Osika of Lancaster has been sentenced by Erie County Court Judge Kenneth Case to a one year conditional discharge.

The defendant stole approximately $3,800 while working as the district representative for the Hillview Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization in March 2018. She admitted to attempting to make a false entry in the records to conceal the commission of the theft.

Osika pleaded guilty to one count of Attempted Falsifying Business Records in the First Degree, a Class “A” misdemeanor, on September 17, 2019.

Osika was removed as the district representative for the PTO at the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year. As a condition of her sentence, she is prohibited from holding a position where she has access to another person or organization’s funds. She has paid full restitution to the Hillview Elementary PTO.

DA Flynn commends the Town of Lancaster Police Department for their work in the investigation.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Gary M. Ertel of the DA’s Special Investigations and Prosecutions Unit.
