Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 28-year-old Quinton Turner, of Buffalo, has been arraigned before Erie County Court Judge Christopher J. Burns on an indictment charging him with one count of Murder in the Second Degree, a Class “A-1” felony.
It is alleged that on the morning of January 5, 2020 at the corner of Jefferson Avenue and East Ferry Street in the City of Buffalo the defendant stabbed the victim, Ronald Green, 6 times causing his death. The defendant then fled to North Carolina where he was located by the U.S. Marshals Service. The defendant was returned to Buffalo for prosecution.
A return date has not yet been scheduled. He is currently being held without bail.
If convicted on the charge, he faces a maximum 25 years to life in prison.
DA Flynn commends the work of Detectives Raymond Krug and Timothy Rooney from the Buffalo Police Department and members of the U.S. Marshals Service for their work in the investigation and apprehension.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Eugene T. Partridge of the DA’s Homicide Bureau.
As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
